2024 VENDOR APPLICATION


Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas is now accepting vendor applications for the 2024 celebration!
Last year, over 25,000 visitors embarked on Canonsburg during this 2-day celebration. Our event has been named by VisitPA.com as One of PA’s Best Places to Visit During the Holiday Season and One of PA’s Most Hallmark Movie-esque Locations.
We invite you to be a part of this highly anticipated event!

  • Vendor applications will only be accepted via the form below.

  • Vendor applications will not be accepted by email, text, mail, phone or in person.

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

2024 FESTIVAL DATES / HOURS

  • Friday, December 6: 4pm - 8pm | Saturday, December 7: Noon - 8pm
    Vendors must be open during all festival hours
    (The Christmas committee may shorten the hours due to inclement weather or lengthen the hours because of strong attendance)

  • Set up: Thursday, December 5: 4pm - 8pm

LOCATION

  • Outdoors

  • Christmas Gift Markets: 3 Borough Parking Lots located between Greenside Avenue and Jefferson Avenue in downtown Canonsburg

  • Food Court: Rite Aid plaza parking lot located on Pike Street between Greenside Avenue and Central Avenue


APPLICATION PROCESS AND TIMELINE

  • Applications Open : March 1, 2024 / 8am

  • Applications Close: April 30, 2024 / 11pm

  • Vendor Acceptance or Waitlist Notification: Week of May 27, 2024

  • Vendor Agreement, Fees, Permits and Proof of Insurance Due: June 30, 2024

TYPES OF VENDORS PERMITTED


Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas Gift Market is a one-of-a-kind craft market which features the best in unique
and handmade goods. All vendors must make/bake/create/produce/grow 75% or more of the products they will be selling.

  • Artists (painters, photography, etc)

  • Alcohol producers

  • Apparel

  • Baked Goods

  • Beauty products and soap

  • Beverages (non alcoholic)

  • Candles

  • Crafters

  • Farmer (veggies, flowers, cheese, meats, etc)

  • Furniture

  • Jewelry

  • Paper art (illustrations, stickers, cards, etc)

  • Pet products

  • Prepared food (jarred items, canned, pre-packaged)

  • Ready to eat (food trucks and food tents)

  • Wooden items

  • Wreaths

TYPES OF VENDORS NOT PERMITTED

  • Direct sales

  • Businesses that white label their products, sale manufactured goods or items made in a lab or by a third-party.

  • Political or religious organizations

  • Businesses that do not sell a product, including but not limited to: insurance, windows, financial services, photography (not selling prints), realtors, medical, chiropractors, service providers. If you are not sure if your business would qualify, please email us at canonsburgchristmasfestival@gmail.com. Interested businesses in these areas can look into our sponsorship opportunities.


VENDOR SPACES

  • Regular vendor space - 10’ x 10’ | $250 (includes both Friday & Saturday/one electrical outlet)

  • Food truck space - 20’ x 10’ | $500 (self-sustaining / includes both Friday & Saturday) or $550 (electric supplied / includes both Friday & Saturday)


INSURANCE AND PERMIT REQUIREMENTS

  • All accepted vendors must provide proof of liability insurance to participate in Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas celebration. (Homeowner’s insurance is not acceptable)

  • Food vendors must have the proper permits and are required to be present each evening with vendor. Foods must be prepared in a Health Department licensed kitchen and all rules and regulations required must be followed.


VENDOR SELECTION

Vendor acceptance is determined by Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas vendor jury committee and is based on the following:

  • Vendor type (limited number of same product type)

  • Products and product quality

  • Vendor social media (On-line exposure is extremely important to the success of our event. We ask that all vendors post their involvement in the celebration.)

  • Vendor branding

  • Vendor availability


VENDOR WAITLIST

Vendors not accepted will be placed on our waitlist. In the event of additional spaces becoming available, we will email vendors on our waitlist to fill those spots.

VENDOR ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION

All accepted vendors will receive an email from canonsburgchristmasfestival@gmail.com the week of May 27, 2024, which will include the Vendor Agreement. Completed agreement, fees and proof of insurance must be returned by April 30,2024.

Vendors that have not returned required information by due date will forfeit their space.


VENDOR DONATION OF GOODS

A raffle booth containing items donated by all vendors is featured at the event. The proceeds from this raffle support Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas and is a large component of our fundraising efforts.

It is requested that each vendor donate an item of a $25 value or more for this much-needed fundraiser. Vendors will be notified prior to the event by the Raffle Booth Chair regarding delivery of their item in advance of the celebration.

VENDOR SET UP

  • Accepted vendors will receive a set up email the week before event. All vendors are responsible tor their own set up, which includes but is not limited to tents, tent weights, tables, chairs, displays, products, garbage (dumpsters provided) and signage.

  • All tents must be white and decorated in a holiday manner.

  • Inside lighting of tent is mandatory (one electrical outlet for lights only provided per vendor))

  • Electric space heaters are not permitted due to wattage required. We suggest propane heaters if desired.

  • Set up process - pull into assigned lot, receive assigned spot direction from staff, pull vehicle off to side to quickly unload,
    move vehicle out of market area to park in assigned vendor parking lots, return to set up.
    Set up requires vendors to move quickly for unloading. If you are not able to unload and set up in a timely manner,
    our market may not be for you.


CANCELLATIONS

Canonsburg’s Old Fashioned Christmas will take place rain or shine, unless extreme weather conditions dictate cancellation. There will be no refunds for weather cancellation.

Unfortunately, we do not refund for vendor cancellations.


CELEBRATION ATTENDANCE

Over the past 5 years, there has been great growth in attendance, and it is expected that over 25,000 visitors will be attending in 2024. Please be prepared for a crowd of this size.

After applying, you will receive a confirmation email. Please check your junk and spam mail. If you have not received your email after 30 minutes, please email canonsburgchristmasfestival@gmail.com to confirm that we have received your application.
